How is Thanksgiving already here?! Even though we had an extra week to prepare, I feel it still snuck upon us! Is anyone else with me? This year I am in charge of the turkey which I am super excited about!
However, in past years, I would dread Thanksgiving. I would restrict my calories because of all the rich foods. Or even worse I would exercise to “earn” my food. This is not how you spend your holidays! On top of all of that, my gut wasn’t into Thanksgiving either.
I would be in a food coma for hours to days sometimes. I am sure we all know the food coma feeling I am talking (i.e. bloated, gassy, and yet still going for another piece of pie). However, I wanted to give you a full menu that can easily be made gut-friendly!
Gut-friendly thanksgiving menu
Because no one should be skipping breakfast to “earn” their Thanksgiving feast. Aim for a dish that has healthy fats, protein, and fiber! I like to pair these with some greens for some extra nutrients.
